In 2012: *The line is in revenue service since December 2010 allowing significant travel times reductions between Spain and France, while offering a permanent solution to previous travel disruptions on the existing conventional railway networks of the two countries. Having a capacity with headways of less than 5 minutes per travel direction, the alignment has been designed for a 350 kph operation speed for passengers’ trains and 120 kph operation speed for freight trains. *From en operations point of view, year 2012 has been another year of commercial operations during which TP Ferro demonstrated and confirmed its capability to operate and maintain the International Section according the Concession Contract´s specifications. Additionally, TP Ferro teams demonstrated their capability to carry out simultaneously the daily commercial operations with concomitant testing, commissioning and documentation activities required by the Concession Contract´s addendum for the 300 km/h operations authorisation. This authorisation has been given to TP Ferro by the Grantors on January 17th, 2013. *In addition, the National Safety Authorities – Ministerio de Fomento in Spain and EPSF in France – renovated TP Ferro´ Safety Certificates, thus confirming TP Ferro´s quality of railway Infrastructure Manager in compliance to the relevant European Directives. *Since the beginning 2013 and for the future, the line is authorized for 300 km/h operations and perfectly capable of concomitant high-speed and freight trains traffic. |
